Do not attend the practice if you have any Covid related symptoms.
The practice is not currently operating a normal appointment service. Please do not attend the practice unless you have been advised to do so.
To contact the practice you should telephone the practice in the normal way on 01224 780 223 and the reception staff will deal with your call. Most consultations at this time will be conducted by telephone.
Our online appointment service has also been suspended at this time.
- By Telephone:
Call01224 780223during our opening hours.
Remember if you can’t make it – PLEASE cancel your appointment.
Consultation with a doctor or nurse is by appointment only.
When requesting an appointment it would be helpful if you could give the receptionist some indication of the nature of your problem. She can then ensure that you are given an appointment with the most appropriate health professional and also that you are given a long enough appointment. Our reception staff will be pleased to advise and help you with any queries you may have.
You are encouraged to see the same doctor throughout an episode of illness. Each doctor has a small number of appointments which can only be booked on the day to ensure that there are always some available appointments for patients requiring same day access.
Children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
If you feel it is necessary to be seen on the same day call the Medical Centre on 01224 780223. The receptionist will need to take some details about the problem and arrangements will be made for a member of the clinical staff to contact you as soon as possible.
We also provide a minor illness service where you can be seen by a fully trained nurse for minor ailments such as sore throats, skin problems etc.
Telephone Advice may include queries about a prescription, a test result, a hospital appointment, a referral, a form that needs to be completed or advice about a minor ailment. Please call and ask the receptionist who will be able to help you.
Telephone Consultations with your Doctor
If you only need advice from the doctor or nurse you can book a telephone consultation by calling the Surgery. The doctor will discuss your problem at an allotted time. Please make sure you give the correct phone number to the receptionist.
Telephone appointments are only available during surgery hours.
If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. Alternatively bring along a member of your family or friend to your appointment.
If you are unable to attend for your appointment please tell us in good time so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.
You can use one of the following methods:
- Patient Services
If you booked your appointment using Patient Services, you can cancel it online by clicking here.
- By Telephone:
Please call us on 01224 780223 and tell the receptionist.
- By Fax: Please send us a fax on 01224 781317.

As part of our commitment to all our patients we monitor the efficient use of appointments. If a patient regularly fails to attend a booked appointment, the practice reserves the right to remove them and their family from the practice list.
