Home visits are available, by arrangement, only for patients who are housebound, terminally ill or too ill to come to the surgery.
Please telephone prior to 10am on the day as this enables us to organise our visits. All visits are at the doctors' discretion.
The Portlethen Community Ambulance also provides a service to transport infirmed patients to and from the medical centre. This can be arranged by the receptionist so please ask her about it when you call to make an appointment.
The doctor can see 5 patients at the surgery in the time it takes to visit 1 patient at home. At home the doctor will only have limited equipment and it is often difficult to perform a full assessment of your condition. It is therefore essential that if it is at all possible that you attend the surgery to see the doctor.
